"Four rainbows before lunch! (Day 7)" Chronometers's photos around Tromsø, Norway

(Day 7)" Chronometers's travel blog entry: "On this day we awoke to pouring rain in the town of Harstad, but decided to get out and walk around anyway. We saw typical pretty wooden houses and an architecturally interesting church. Upon leaving Harstad, we passed a very old medieval church situated along the shoreline. The only good news about all the rain is that it was punctuated by sun, resulting in many rainbows. In fact, we saw 4 rainbows before lunch and another 3 after! Our main destination this day was Tromso. In Tromso, the main destination was the Arctic Cathedral, although we also saw the Polar Museum, visited the Mack Brewery, and enjoyed the nice walk across the large bridge to the Cathedral. The Arctic Cathedral, built in 1965, is beautiful, both in its architecture and also the interior furnishings. Everything about it, from the icicle chandeliers to the beautiful wooden pews just seems perfectly situated to its location. The Polar Museum is dedicated to many things surrounding Polar life. Of particular interest, though, are the artifacts around Roald Amundsen's South Pole expedition. After seeing both of these we still had time to wander the town and find the Mack Brewery - The most Northerly Brewery (at least according to their sign).
